Tolerance bands

This part describes the parameters of the tolerance bands.

Description

In use

This switch defines the use and the visibility of the tolerance band in smartWARE Program.

Actual value

This selection defines an actual value that is compared to its setpoint.

Lower deviation min. value

This value defines the smallest possible input value for the lower deviation value.

Entering a permissible deviation of the actual value from 0 in smartWARE program, deactivates the tolerance band. To avoid this deactivation, the lower limit must be set > 0.

The input is in base unit.

Lower deviation max. value

This value defines the largest possible input value for the lower deviation value.

The input is in base unit.

Upper deviation min. value

This value defines the smallest possible input value for the upper deviation value.

Entering a permissible deviation of the actual value from 0 in smartWARE program, deactivates the tolerance band. To avoid this deactivation, the lower limit must be set > 0.

The input is in base unit.

Upper deviation max. value

This value defines the largest possible input value for the upper deviation value.

The input is in base unit.

Event type

This selection defines the eventtype behavior in case of an deviation. Possible selections are:

  • None

  • Event

  • Alarm

  • Event and alarm

Tolerance band behavior

This selection defines the program behavior in case of an deviation. Possible selections are:

  • Program stop

  • No influence

The tolerance bands must be configured in the JUMO smartWARE Setup variTRON. They can be found as follows:
Configuration > PT Configuration > Process step > 'Name' > Definition > Tolerance bands
